Find The Right Curly Hair Products For Your Hair

Hair density is the thickness of an individual hair strand — fine, medium, or coarse. It determines how much moisture and what kind of styler your hair actually needs. Fine hair needs lightweight formulas to maintain volume; coarse hair needs richer moisture and stronger hold. Density is different from curl pattern, and different from thin hair.
Have you ever tried a product that someone else loved, only to find that it made your hair feel greasy, flat, or dry? Curl pattern is rarely the answer — density usually is. Two people with the exact same curl type can need completely different products if one has fine strands and the other has coarse strands. This is the reason so much curly hair advice online feels confusing or contradictory.
Step 1: Choose Your Hair Type

| Your Hair | Looks Like | Best Starting Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Wavy Hair | Loose S-shaped waves, usually 2A to 2C | Wavy Hair Routine |
| Curly Hair | Defined spirals or ringlets, usually 3A to 3C | Curly Hair Routine |
| Coily Hair | Tight coils or zig-zag patterns, usually 4A to 4C | Best Curly Hair Products |
Step 2: Choose Your Main Concern
| Concern | Start With | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Flat roots or low volume | Curl Volumizing Foam | Adds lightweight volume without heaviness. |
| Soft everyday definition | Curl Styling Serum | Gives soft hold and frizz control. |
| Strong hold in humidity | Curl Defining Gel | Helps curls and waves last longer in humid weather. |
| Daily defined hold | Flaxseed Curling Custard | Supports definition with medium-strong hold. |
| Dry or coarse hair | Curl Moisture Milk | Provides richer moisture than a lightweight leave-in. |
| Dry or coarse hair | Deep Treatment Hair Masque | Provides richer moisture and repair damaged hair. |
| All curl types | Nourishing Conditioner | Nourish curls & Replenish lost moisture between wash days. |
| All curl types | Hydrating Shampoo | Cleanse scalp & hair gently without stripping and drying. |
| Product buildup or hard water | Clarifying Shampoo | Helps remove buildup that makes hair dull, rough or flat. |
| Itchy or flaky scalp | Exfoliating Shampoo | Targets scalp buildup, flakes and scalp discomfort. |
Step 3: Choose Your Starter Routine

| Hair Type | Recommended Ashba Routine |

| Medium Curly Hair | Hydrating Shampoo + Nourishing Conditioner + Leave-In Conditioner + Curl Styling Serum |
